They are designed to prepare candidates for the competency test by covering essential modules such as: Basic drilling operations and well control principles. Mud logging equipment and its operation. Geological sample analysis (cuttings, cores). Hydrocarbon detection and analysis. Report writing and data management. Wellsite safety and emergency procedures. Competency Assessment: The final assessment typically includes: Written Exam: To test theoretical knowledge. Oral Interview: An interview with a certified assessor to verify understanding and experience. Practical Demonstration: A hands-on test where the candidate demonstrates their ability to perform core Mud Logger tasks.
